BERLIN WALL: 

In the 28 years (1961-1989) it stood as a grim barrier between East and West Berlin, this wall was the cold war’s boldest symbol. The East German government claimed it was a protective barrier shielding its subjects from western agents and provocateurs. The west said the wall was a prisoner barrier, design to keep people in a comprehensive technologies has concluded that the walls built by the Mind dynasty measure 8,850 km (5,500 mil). Sections of actual wall, 359 km (223 mil) of trenches and 2,232 km (1,387 mil) of natural defensive barriers such as hills and rivers. The Fall of Berlin wall take place on 9 November 1989, was a pivotal event in world history which marked the falling of the Iron Curtain and the start of the fall of communism in Eastern and Central Europe. 

THE HADRIAN'S WALL:

Hadrian's wall was built by the Romans to protect their colony Britannia from the tribes in Scotland. It stretches for 117 kilometres(73 miles)across the north of England from the Irish sea to the North sea.Construction started in 122 AD following a visit by Romans Emperor Hadrian,and was completed in six years.The wall was garrisoned by around 9,000 soldiers,including infantry and cavalry.

GREAT ZIMBABWE WALL: 


The Great Zimbabwe is a complex of stone ruins spread out over 
a large area in modern day Zimbabwe,which itself is named after the ruins.Built by indigenous Bantu people, the construction started in the 11th century and continued for over 300 years,it is estimates that Great Zimbabwe had as many as 18,000 inhabitants.

THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA:

The Great Wall of China is a series of Fortification made of stone, brick, tamped earth, wood, and other materials, generally built along an east-to-west line across the historical northern borders of China to protect the Chinese states and empires against the raids and invasions of the various nomadic groups of the Eurasian Steppe. Around 220 B.C., Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of a unified China under the Qin dynasty, ordered that earlier fortifications between states be removed and a number of existing walls along the northern border be joined into a single system that would extend for more than 10,000 (a Li is about one-third of a mile) and protect China against attacks from the north. The Great wall has been rebuilt and maintained by Ming dynasty(1368-1644),the wall built by Ming dynasty measure 8,850 km (5,500 mil).This is made up of 6,259 km, section of actual wall,359 km of trenches and 2,232 km of natural barriers such as hills and rivers.


VIETNAM MEMORIAL WALL:


The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is a 2-acre (8,000 m2) U.S national memorial in Washington D.C. It honors service members of the US armed forces who fought in the Vietnam war, Service members who died in the services in Vietnam/South East Asia, and those services members who were unaccounted for (missing in action, ,MIA) during the war. The main part of the memorial, which was completed in 1982, is in construction Gardens adjacent to national mall. The memorial wall was designed by Maya Lin.

WALLS OF BABYLON:


The walls of Babylon, the city state of ancient Mesopotamia (the region is now home to modern-day Iraq, Kuwait, Turkey and Syria), was one of the original wonders mentioned by Antipater of Sidon. Ancient version of the seven wonders included the Ishtar gate. It was constructed around 575 BC and it is the part of Babylon. Both the gate and walls were constructed of blue glazed titles with alternating rows of bas-relief dragons and aurochs.





ISHTAR GATE.

 WALL OF STON:
The walls of Ston are a series of defensive stone walls situated on the peninsula Peljesac in Southern Croatia. It is the 5.5 kilometre (3.5 miles) long wall that link these two small communities was completed in the 15th century,along 40 towers and 5 fortresses.It was meant as a second line of defense for the city of Dubrovnik and to protect the precious salt pans that contributed to Dubrovnik's wealth.It is the second longest wall in Europe.
